Some pictures from my recent trip to
the Green River guided by Trout
Creek Flies.
If you ever get the opportunity to go to the Green River -- DO IT! Not only is
the scenery of Flaming Gorge downright beautiful but so is the fishing. The claims
of 8,000 to 14,000 fish per river mile and an average of 15 to 18 inch rainbow,
cutthroat and brown trout are true. The shame of it is that we took so few pictures
of the trout; we just seemed to get used to catching 18-20" trout!
Dennis Breer, the owner of Trout Creek Flies in Dutch John, Utah, runs a quality
shop with knowledgeable, friendly guides. Fishing the Green River from their drift
boats is truly a memorable experience. |
